3 Step Process

Purchase your test(s) online and register your details. You will then receive your confirmation with your booking reference number. You will require this for Border Control your entry/return to the UK.

Your test kits will be dispatched prior to your test date and received within 48 hours Your test kit/s will be dispatched via tracked delivery and sent to arrive at your home/location on your arrival date Day 0 or the next day Day 1

When you receive your test kits, on the appropriate day(s) follow the instructions within your test kit before posting your completed test kit using a Royal Mail priority postbox

If you do not receive them by 12 noon on Day 1 call our helpline and we will send another pack guaranteed next day delivery

Get your results for each test, usually within 12 to 36 hours of the laboratory receiving your sample. Results are received by a direct email from the laboratory.

We will send a confirmation email and your booking reference number (for home testing kits) within 24hrs

If you would like to have your Post Travel PCR Day 2 or Day 2 & 8 carried out in one of our clinics then this can be arranged at an additional cost of £40 for a Day 2 or £80 for Day 2 & 8 samples.

FAQ

People arriving back into the UK must have Post Travel COVID-19 testing. We offer home testing kits which includes delivery and return postage.

You are not required to have a COVID-19 test if travelling within the UK, or the Common Travel Area and you’ve not been outwith this area in the last 10 days.

When you arrive in the UK, the type of test that you require will depend on where you have been in the last 10 days prior to your arrival. The day you arrive is classed as day zero. Please ensure you check the Government travel website guidance to see which applies to your destination/s.

Please note that changes to a county’s category can be made without warning and we would advise that you check the latest information form the Government website to make sure that you have the most up to date information.

If your destination changes category and you require an additional day 8 test then please order an additional day 2 test.

Prior to your arrival please ensure that you complete your Passenger Locator Form Form Fill in your passenger locator form - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Our service is suitable for adults and children who will be arriving in the UK following international travel.

A Day 2 test costs £41*, a Day 2 & 8 test costs £89 *(excluding processing, postage, packaging and report charges) The kits contain pre-paid postage for sending back each kit to the laboratory for testing. Please ensure you use a Priority Mail Post box and each is Royal Mail Tracked (Please keep a note of your tracking number)

You will receive either a single Day 2 home testing test kit or two for Day 2 & 8 home test kits. These are throat & nasal swab test kit(s).

If your test kit(s) has not arrived by Day 1 or your kit is broken, damaged or is missing kit parts then please contact us at testing@scotnursing.com to advise before 12 noon and another will be sent guaranteed next day delivery.

SNMS are not able to issue refunds for the Day 2 & Day 8 test kits if these have already been dispatched.

Our partner laboratories are Everything Genetics, Nonacas and TDL. All are United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) Government approved. SNMS are also a UKAS approved Testing Centre and are on the Government providers list. Depending on your tests your details will be shared with the appropriate partner lab.

You will receive an email directly from our partner laboratory to advise you of your result.

The result will show whether you are positive or negative for COVID-19. In a very small amount of cases you may get an inconclusive test, you must either take another test (at your own cost) or self-isolate for 10 days from the day after your test date. You may be contacted by NHS Test & Trace/Test and Protect to check that you are self-isolating.

Results are usually available 12 to 36 hours after the lab has received the sample. If it’s been over 36 hours since your at-home self-swab test and your results have not been received then, please call 0141 255 1222 (Open between 8am and 8pm).

The certificate will include your full name, Date of Birth, passport number, test date, laboratory details and the signature of the report approver at the laboratory.

  • It is a legal requirement that accurate passenger details are given at point of ordering a Day 2 test, or Day 2 & Day 8 tests. It is the customers responsibility to make sure they take the required test(s) on the correct day(s) as per the Government guidance.
  • It is a legal requirement that SNMS as a provider of the service share all COVID-19 test results with Public Health Scotland and Public Health England and the NHS Test and Protect and Test and Trace Programmes.
  • Tests taken as part of the Day 2 & Day 8 COVID-19 Post-Travel Testing Service will usually be processed within 12-36 hours from sample arrival at the laboratory
  • The customer agrees and accepts that the Day 2 and 8 COVID-19 Post-Travel Testing Service is non-refundable and that the service is deemed to have been provided in full by SNMS by providing the customer with their Booking Reference Number. Once made aware, If any part of the test kit is missing or faulty, then the kit will be replaced under this agreement.
  • As a result of sensitivity of the tests in a very small amount of cases you may get an inconclusive test, you must either take another test (at your own cost) or self-isolate for 10 days from the day after your test date. You may be contacted by NHS Test & Trace/Test and Protect to check that you are self-isolating.
  • SNMS will not be held liable for losses, costs, damage that the customer suffers or incurs as a result of any delays in receiving test results or as a result of inconclusive test results.
  • SNMS will also not be liable to you for any losses, costs or damages that the customer suffers or incurs as a result of receiving a positive test result.
  • Day 2 & 8 COVID-19 Post-Travel Testing Service is subject to our partner lab capacity and stock availability.
  • It is a legal requirement that SNMS and our partner laboratories share all COVID-19 test results to the NHS Test and Protect/Trace programmes.
  • Our service is only appropriate for customers who are arriving in the UK following international travel.
  • Please be aware SNMS will share your name and details with the relevant partner laboratories.
  • Please allow for Sundays or Bank Holidays when purchasing kits as this could delay results.
  • SNMS liability will not exceed the cost charged to the customer for the service, so far as is lawfully permitted.
